About the Role
Our client is a growing not-for-profit organisation with a strong purpose and a collaborative finance function. They are seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will play a key role across the financial accounting function, supporting month-end reporting, general ledger activities and financial reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end accounting processes, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Support accurate and timely accounting processes across the business
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes
- Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the wider finance team and key stakeholders
About You
We are looking for an Accountant with 2–3 years' experience who is keen to develop their career within a supportive and evolving finance environment.
- Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting position
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including accrual accounting
- Experience with month-end, journals, reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- A proactive and inquisitive approach, with the confidence to identify process improvements
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- NFP experience is advantageous but not essential — commercial experience will also be considered
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is advantageous
- Power BI experience would be beneficial but is not essential
