Residential Care Officer
- Deliver person-centred support services promoting client choice and independence.
- Assess participants’ abilities and individual needs while complying with relevant standards.
- Coordinate participant support with families and other service providers.

We are looking for Residential Care Officer who will be carrying out the following:
• Deliver person-centred support services that promote client choice, independence, wellbeing, and community participation. • Assess participants’ abilities, individual needs, risks and support requirements.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and review of individual support and skill-development programs..
• Comply with WHS, infection-control, medication-management, incidentreporting and risk-management procedures.
• Maintain participants’ privacy, dignity, safety and confidentiality.
• Comply with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and relevant legislation.
• Monitor participants’ health, mood, behaviour, wellbeing and progress.
• Identify and report changes in participants’ needs, circumstances, health or identified risks.
• Coordinate participant support with families, guardians, nurses, allied health professionals and other service providers.
• Maintain accurate case notes, progress reports, medication records, incident reports and other participant documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field
A diploma, degree, or Higher in a relevant field is required
NDIS Approval or a worker clearance
Driver's Licence to be able to drive if required for the work
Ability to listen actively, build rapport, and communicate clearly with clients, families, and service providers
Understanding and responding sensitively to the needs, circumstances, and experiences of clients
Respecting and working effectively with people from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Demonstrated experience assessing participants’ abilities, needs and support requirements
Experience implementing and reviewing individual support or skill-development programs
Maintaining confidentiality, boundaries, and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and NDIS standards
