Jayabheri Group of Companies Pty Ltd t/a X Convenience Lonsdale is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our leadership team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy fuel and convenience retail site.
Location: X Convenience Lonsdale, 52 Aldershot Road, Lonsdale SA 5160
Position Summary:
This is a full-time Retail Manager position offering an opportunity for career growth and long-term stability. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing operations, leading staff, and ensuring delivery of high-quality customer service while meeting safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the daily operations of the fuel and convenience retail site to ensure efficiency and profitability
2. Determining convenience product and service offerings, stock levels, merchandising, and quality standards
3. Leading, training, and supervising staff, including rostering and performance management
4. Managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and achieving sales targets
5. Ensuring compliance with fuel handling, dangerous goods, environmental, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations
6. Handling customer service issues, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive customer experience
7. Liaising with fuel and merchandise suppliers and coordinating inventory and procurement.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in a retail, convenience, or fuel-site management role
2. Diploma-level qualification or equivalent work experience in retail management or a related field
3. Proven ability to manage teams and work in a high-pressure, customer-focused environment
4. Strong knowledge of WHS, fuel-site safety, security, stock control, and operational procedures
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
6. Must be available to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotating rosters.
Position Details:
1. Employment type: Full-time
2. Annual salary: AUD $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
3. Work location: X Convenience Lonsdale, 52 Aldershot Road, Lonsdale SA 5160
4. Hours of work: 38 hours per week
