Description
Process Technician – Gold Plant
FIFO Perth / DIDO Kalgoorlie | 8:6 / 7:7 Roster | Permanent Position
Know gold recovery? Ready for something better?
You know your way around a gold plant. You understand the circuits, know what to look for when things aren’t running as they should, and take pride in getting the best out of a shift.
Now, imagine putting that experience to work at a site where you know the people you work with are going to show up every shift, your contribution is noticed, and you’re part of a team building something for the long term.
Welcome to Aurenne. We do things differently.
What’s in it for you?
- A roster that works for you – 8:6 / 7:7, FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
- Permanent employment – leave the uncertainty of contracting behind and join a team with a long-term plan.
- Competitive package – salary, superannuation, 10% bonus and private health benefits.
- A future at Mt. Ida – 7+ years of mine life ahead, with further opportunities being worked on.
- Owners who know your name – we’re privately owned and owner-operated, with direct access to the people making decisions.
- A quality camp experience – permanent rooms, great food, a well-equipped gym and a walking trail.
- Less time getting to site – we fly with Skippers, avoiding the long travel days associated with some FIFO operations.
- Extra benefits – salary packaging, novated leases, employee discounts, an Employee Assistance Program and a referral bonus for bringing your mates on board.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of the team responsible for safely and efficiently recovering gold across the processing plant, from crushing through to tails.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Operating and monitoring the plant across milling, thickening, leaching, CIL, water services and elution.
- Monitoring the DCS and operating the control room to maintain stable plant performance.
- Identifying process issues, troubleshooting equipment and responding to changing plant conditions.
- Conducting plant sampling, inspections and process checks, with accurate records and shift handovers.
- Identifying risks, maintaining high safety standards and keeping the plant in good order.
- Working hands-on with the team to maintain performance and maximise gold recovery.
Experience operating a skid steer, forklift or telehandler is an advantage.
What we’re looking for
We’re after someone who understands gold processing beyond simply keeping the plant running. You know how the circuits work together and understand how your decisions can affect recovery, throughput and plant performance.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- At least 2 years’ recent experience in a gold processing plant.
- Practical experience with CIL and elution circuits.
- Previous control room and DCS operating experience.
- Experience working with pre-leach thickeners.
- A current, unrestricted WA C Class driver’s licence.
- Full Australian working rights and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
Most importantly, you’re hands-on, switched on and proactive. You take ownership of your work, communicate well with your crew and can be relied on to get the job done safely.
