Outfitting Joiner
- Build, install and finish high-quality interior joinery on fit-out projects.
- Read drawings and modify cabinetry, panelling, counters, doors, frames and shelving.
- Direct and instruct labourers on site.
AJK Outfitters is looking for an experienced Joiner to build, install and finish high-quality interior joinery on fit-out projects. Most of our joinery arrives pre-assembled. You’ll finish it on site to trade standard and fit it to the real site conditions.
About the role
- Mostly Sydney project sites, with regular interstate trips (usually 1–8 weeks)
- Read drawings, set out, and build, modify and install cabinetry, panelling, counters, doors, frames and shelving
- Scribe and fit to tight tolerances, check quality and sign off before handover
- Direct and instruct labourers on site
What you’ll need
- Certificate III in Joinery, Cabinet Making or Shopfitting (or an equivalent overseas qualification)
- At least 3 years’ experience as a qualified Joiner, including fit-out work
- Confidence reading architectural and shop drawings
- White Card and a current driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home for project periods
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia. If you hold a visa, it must stay valid for at least 5 more years.
Nice to have: experience in marine, hospitality, retail or high-end residential work; veneers, laminates and solid surfaces; Working at Heights, EWP or forklift tickets.
