VR GP - replacing a GP with full books who is relocating - busy practice

A well establisehd practice in Perth is seeking a new VR GP to join their team.

With a patient demographic that includes many families and elderly individuals, the practice currently has six GPs, four male and two female. Due to a recent departure of a fully booked female GP who went overseas, there is a large established patient base waiting for an incoming female GP to take over her caseload. The current female GPs are swamped with demand, and the practice is turning away approximately 40 patients per day.

The practice boasts a very close-knit team, with the GPs having morning tea together every morning. The doctors adopt a collegial approach and are very team-oriented. The consulting rooms are large and spacey, with windows and electric beds, and there are three treatment room beds and a large theatre. Additionally, there is a diabetes clinic room and a conference room used for education.

The practice is open from Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1800, with no after-hours or weekend work required. There are also additional services onsite, including a chemist, physio, x-ray, and podiatrist. The doctors have autonomy for their scheduled hours of consulting, and they can decide what days/hours work for their schedule.

Financial incentives include 65% billings, with the potential to increase to 70%. The clinic is offering a guarantee of $150 per hour for the first 3 months Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus available for doctors who enter into a term service agreement, with the amount varying based on the length of the agreement and the number of consulting hours worked. The clinic is also willing to offer a flexible agreement if preferred by the doctor.

Essential Criteria:

• MBBS or equivalent
• AHPRA GENERAL /SPECIALIST registration
• FRACGP qualified
• A good attitude to teamwork
