Our client is a fast-growing, global start-up committed to making a difference in the education sector. Born and bred in Melbourne, they are looking to add a Frontend Engineer to the team to lead upcoming projects.
Your Role:
We are seeking experienced Frontend Engineers to help scale and evolve our client's design systems and UI architecture. You'll be joining a globally distributed engineering team building impactful products used around the world.
In this role, you will be tackling exciting engineering challenges, solving problems, and helping our client to improve their platform's functionality. You'll play a critical role in ensuring their users have the best experience possible.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate closely with Product Designers to develop and maintain scalable design systems, coding style guides, and reusable component libraries that drive consistency across products.
- Build polished internal and customer-facing applications using React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and GraphQL, delivering intuitive and responsive user experiences.
- Partner with backend engineers to define and integrate API contracts, ensuring smooth data flow and efficient client-server communication.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning, actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality engineering.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code with a strong focus on maintainability and performance.
- Take ownership of features from ideation through deployment, including testing, release coordination, and ongoing optimization.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and influence the evolution of the front-end tech stack, tooling, and best practices.
Your Toolkit:
React.js: Building modular, component-based UIs
- TypeScript: Writing type-safe, maintainable code
- HTML & CSS: Crafting responsive, accessible layouts
- GraphQL: Integrating APIs with efficient data fetching
- Bonus: Experience with Elixir, Ruby, or Python on the backend
