Accounts Officer - RetireAustralia - Finance Team

Join one of Australia's leading retirement living providers and play a key role within our Finance team. 

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer with Home Care billing experience and exposure to AlayaCare to support our growing care operations

Reporting to the National Manager - Finance (Care and Operations), you will be responsible for resident billing, care billing, bank reconciliations, accounts payable support, settlements and general finance administration.

About the Role

This varied role will see you managing financial transactions and supporting our villages and care operations to ensure timely and accurate billing, reconciliations and reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Process resident and support at home billing activities.
  • Generate monthly invoices, statements and billing reports.
  • Process direct debit payments.
  • Manage government care claim submissions.
  • Reconcile payment summaries and multiple bank accounts.
  • Monitor and follow up aged debtor balances.
  • Import transactions into the finance system.
  • Process settlement journals and resident buyback payments.
  • Maintain daily cashflow reporting.
  • Assist with monthly accruals and accounts payable activities.
  • Respond to queries from managers, committees and key stakeholders

About You

 We're looking for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Home Care billing
  • Experience using AlayaCare or a similar care management system will be highly regarded
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Strong bank reconciliation and financial administration experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate data processing skills
  • Exposure to daily cash flow management and accruals will be highly regarded
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and perform under pressure
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
  • Experience using Business Central or a similar accounting system will be viewed favourably
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (current)
