Civil Labourers with MR licence

AWX is seeking Civil labourers that holds an MR licence. Our Client provides transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland.

The RMC operations are highly responsive and risk-based, with teams often working in live traffic environments and under time-critical conditions. Strong emphasis is placed on:

• Timely response to defects and hazards
• Compliance with contract specifications and standards
• Accurate reporting, record-keeping, and evidence collection
• Effective coordination between contractors, RoadTek, and TMR

Requirements of the role
• We are seeking a capable and values-driven contractor with strong knowledge and experience in road construction and/or maintenance practices, who leads by example and sets clear expectations for quality and performance.
• You will demonstrate a strong work ethic, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion while working independently or in teams within agreed priorities. You will maintain accurate records, seek feedback to continuously improve your performance, and know when to ask for support to achieve the best outcomes.
• This role requires confidence and courage in decision-making, including the ability to make sound judgements under pressure. You will take responsibility for your decisions while demonstrating good judgement about when to escalate issues to ensure risks are managed appropriately.
• A strong commitment to compliance is essential. Key responsibilities
In the role of Construction Worker, you will assist with various road maintenance and construction activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Queensland's road network. You will maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and project team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Perform general labouring duties, including road maintenance, vegetation management, and construction tasks.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including chainsaws, in a safe and efficient manner.
Drive and operate Medium Rigid (MR) trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from work sites.
Assist with traffic management duties as required.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards at all times.
Work collaboratively within a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Shift work, including night works, weekend works and day shift on a monthly rotation. Roster will be provided dependent on commencement date.
