$135,000 - $145,000 + Super | Hybrid Working | Brisbane
A growing Australian business is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join the team in a broad, hands-on role that offers genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence business performance. You'll work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight, driving reporting and planning processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to support continued growth.
This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys operating across both the technical and commercial aspects of finance and is looking to take the next step towards a future finance leadership role.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the CFO, you'll take ownership of the finance function across management reporting, planning and financial control while partnering with operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a growing, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide insightful performance analysis
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes
- Partner with leaders across the business to provide commercial support and strategic insights
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting
- Support month-end and year-end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and compliance requirements
- Contribute to strategic projects and broader business initiatives as the organisation continues to grow
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business and adding value beyond the numbers.
You'll ideally bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar position
- Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability
- The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across ERP and finance systems
- Previous experience within a growing, dynamic organisation will be highly regarded
