Lead Carpenter
6-Month Contract | Immediate Start | Potential for Extension
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter for a veterinary clinic refurbishment project based in Para Vista, Adelaide.
This is a predominantly hands-on role, ideal for an experienced carpenter who enjoys being on the tools while taking responsibility for coordinating trades and assisting with the day-to-day running of site. The initial contract is for 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension onto future projects.
The Role
- Carry out hands-on carpentry works throughout the project
- Assist with coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
- Work closely with the Project Manager to keep works on programme
- Ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics
- Help maintain site quality and WHS compliance
- Lead by example and drive productivity on site
About You
- Trade qualified Carpenter
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Lead Carpenter or Senior Carpenter
- Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Comfortable supervising small teams and coordinating trades when required
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong eye for detail and quality finishes
- White Card and current Driver's Licence
