Senior Solar Consultant

The Technical Solar Advisor provides expert technical guidance across the design, feasibility, compliance, and performance of solar and energy storage solutions. This role supports sales, project delivery, and customers by ensuring all systems are technically sound, compliant with Australian standards, and optimised for performance and value.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on solar PV and battery system design for commercial and industrial projects
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield modelling
• Review and optimise system layouts, equipment selection, and electrical design
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, grid connection requirements, and CEC guidelines
• Support sales teams with technical input, proposals, and client-facing explanations
• Liaise with installers, project managers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Assist with commissioning, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of installed systems
• Stay up to date with industry standards, technologies, and regulatory changes



Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems (battery storage experience highly regarded)
• Background in electrical engineering, solar engineering, or electrical trade
• Experience with system design and modelling tools (e.g. PVSyst, Helioscope or similar)
• Solid understanding of Australian electrical and solar standards
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
