Senior Analyst - Audit

Company Overview

We're partnering with a leading global professional services firm to recruit a Senior Analyst into its growing External Audit team in Perth.
With an established team and a strong pipeline of new client engagements, particularly across the mining, oil & gas and resources sectors, this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to large, complex organisations, including ASX-listed businesses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver external audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients, with a focus on mining, resources and listed entities.
• Perform audit testing, risk assessments and financial statement reviews in accordance with relevant auditing standards.
• Identify key financial reporting risks, control weaknesses and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners to ensure audit engagements are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide practical insights throughout the audit process.
• Support and guide junior team members where required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Ideally 3–5 years of external audit experience within a professional services firm, preferably Big Four, although candidates from larger mid-tier firms will also be considered.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, ideally completed or nearing completion.
• Exposure to mining, oil & gas, resources or ASX-listed clients would be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, auditing methodologies and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full Australian working rights without the requirement for employer sponsorship.
