Process Operator – Lead/Silver Operation – FIFO ex-Perth
If you’ve run crushers, mills and flotation circuits and want more time at home, this is worth a look. We have a couple of casual Process Operator positions at a lead/silver operation. You’ll get a flat $60/hr across days and nights and a genuine even-time roster.
Your New Company
Our client runs a small to medium-sized lead/silver mine where you’ll be known by name, not by employee number. The team is tight-knit and the culture is a real selling point. They want operators who take ownership, back their crew and look for ways to make the plant run better.
Your New Role
You’ll operate and monitor the processing plant across the full flowsheet. Your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring crushing circuits, including jaw and cone crushers
- Running grinding circuits, including ball mills
- Operating and optimising flotation circuits to hit recovery targets
- Operating filter presses and managing concentrate handling
- Conducting plant inspections, sampling and routine checks
- Identifying faults and working with maintenance to keep the plant online
- Completing shift handovers, logs and safety documentation
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Process Operator or Process Technician in a mineral processing plant
- Hands-on plant operation, not general mining, labouring or production experience
- Comfortable working a rotating day/night roster on a FIFO basis
- Strong safety focus and the ability to work well in a team
Highly regarded:
- Experience across crushing, grinding, flotation and filtration
- Lead or silver processing experience (valued but not essential; strong operators from other commodities are encouraged to apply)
