The Opportunity

Our Personal Carer Worker (PCWs) are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families, and colleagues 7 days a week across AM, PM and Nightshifts. This role based at Ashmore on the Gold Coast will see you working closely with the nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector already and the ability to “think on your feet” for strong workplace safety, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

  • Minimum 12+ months experience in the Aged Care sector
  • A passion for choosing a career where you can make a difference and willingness to help our company deliver quality of care services everyday!
  • Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and follow strict safety procedures at all times to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
  • Computer savvy including using emails, word and navigating inhouse training platforms.
  • Excellent workplace safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears.
  • Qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care), Certificate III or higher in Aged Care or equivalent OR
  • have completed the Diploma of Nursing with an aged care placement OR
  • now a 2nd year nursing student with a placement.
  • we do recognise other Cert III courses in related healthcare studies. Industry work placement will also be needed to meet compliance standards.
  • Hold the (PAID) NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector. (*or willingness to obtain)
  • Part-time requirements - 3-4 shifts per week currently on offer - mostly AM & PM, with the ability to pickup more shifts
