Clinical Nurse Child Health – Multiple Locations | Darling Downs Health

Up to $76.94/hr (Clinical Nurse) + super + allowances | Travel & accommodation fully covered | Short-term rural and regional contracts

About the Role

Provide high-quality child and family health nursing services across a range of community and healthcare settings within Darling Downs Health. You will deliver evidence-based, family-centred care focused on health promotion, developmental assessment, immunisation, early intervention, and supporting positive health outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive child and family health assessments
  • Provide childhood and adolescent immunisations in accordance with the National Immunisation Program
  • Monitor infant and child growth, development, and wellbeing
  • Deliver health education and parenting support to families and carers
  • Identify and respond to developmental concerns and child health issues
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, allied health, and community service providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support health promotion, early intervention, and preventative health programs
  • Contribute to community outreach and child health initiatives
  • Promote safe, evidence-based, family-centred care

What You'll Need

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Nurse in Child Health, Community Child Health, or Family Health Services
  • Current recognised Immunisation Certification
  • Experience conducting child health and developmental assessments
  • Strong health promotion, education, and family engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Australian working rights (non-sponsorship position due to contract timeframe)
