AC3 is seeking an experienced Application Architect to join a well-established organisation in Sydney on an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Application Architect with strong SAP expertise, enterprise integration experience and the ability to lead application delivery across complex business environments.
About the Role
You will take ownership of application architecture, integration, delivery and ongoing support across SAP, internal enterprise platforms and connected mobile applications.
Working closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams and international vendors, you will translate business requirements into secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions.
The role requires someone who can balance strategic architecture with practical delivery, stakeholder engagement and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application architecture and integration across SAP, enterprise platforms and mobile applications.
- Design secure, scalable and supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Assess SAP cross-module dependencies, integration requirements and change impacts.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, delivery plans and prioritised backlogs.
- Coordinate internal IT teams and external technology vendors across multiple international locations.
- Oversee Agile delivery, SDLC governance, testing, UAT and production releases.
- Troubleshoot complex application integration issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Manage application support, system improvements and ongoing platform reliability.
- Maintain architecture documentation, integration designs and technical standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 8+ years of experience working with enterprise applications, including architecture, technical delivery and production support.
- Strong SAP functional and technical knowledge, particularly cross-module integration, dependencies and business processes.
- Proven experience designing and supporting integrations between SAP, enterprise applications and mobile platforms.
- Solid understanding of application architecture, interfaces, data flows and integration troubleshooting.
- Experience leading application delivery using Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Experience with SAP Activate, DevSecOps, CI/CD and automated testing highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience coordinating distributed technical teams and external vendors.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
