About the Role
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care within operating theatre environments while working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
Opportunities are available across:
Scrub Scout Nursing
• Instrument and circulating nurse responsibilities
• Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT and more
Anaesthetic Nursing
• Pre-operative and intra-operative patient care
• Support for anaesthetists throughout surgical procedures
Recovery & PACU Nursing
• Immediate post-operative assessment and monitoring
• Safe recovery and discharge planning following procedures
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering safe, patient-centred perioperative care
• Maintaining sterile technique and infection control standards
• Supporting surgical and anaesthetic teams
• Monitoring and assessing patients throughout the perioperative journey
• Completing accurate clinical documentation
• Adhering to hospital policies and national clinical standards
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Scrub Scout, Anaesthetics and/or PACU/Recovery
• Strong knowledge of perioperative practice and sterile techniques
• Experience working within operating theatre environments
• Current National Police Check
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work confidently in fast-paced surgical settings
• Full Australian working rights
