We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Power BI & Reporting) to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
This role will focus on gathering business requirements, analysing data, improving reporting capabilities, and delivering meaningful insights that support strategic decision making. You’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive reporting improvements and help shape data-driven outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
– Gather and document business and reporting requirements
– Facilitate stakeholder workshops and business process analysis
– Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
– Translate business needs into actionable reporting outcomes
– Analyse, validate and cleanse data to ensure reporting accuracy
– Collaborate with technical teams to deliver BI solutions
– Support testing, implementation and continuous improvement activities
About You
You are an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in reporting, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. You enjoy working with data, identifying business needs, and delivering solutions that create real value for end users.
Essential Experience
– Business requirements gathering and process modelling
– Strong Power BI dashboard and report development experience
– Advanced SQL and data analysis skills
– Experience with Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI)
– Strong understanding of DAX and Power Query
– Ability to translate complex business requirements into reporting solutions
– Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Regarded
– Experience working within government or large enterprise environments
– Data warehousing and data modelling exposure
– Knowledge of reporting governance and data management practices
