Medical Receptionist
- First point of contact for patients at the clinic.
- Manage patient check-in procedures and inquiries.
- Handle billing procedures and collaborate with staff.
Our clinic in Newtown is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.
The role is a 12 month full time contract working 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am – 10:00pm. With possible weekends down the track.
Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
- Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
- Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
- Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
