ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR- SOLAR FARM PROJECT
- Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities across the solar farm project.
- Provide technical oversight across MV, DC and SCADA systems.
- Manage electrical subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Protech is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major Solar Farm project based in Mokoan, Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale renewable energy project with an immediate start available.
We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong technical capability across solar farm construction and electrical infrastructure who can effectively coordinate contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities across the solar farm project.
- Provide technical oversight across MV, DC and SCADA systems.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of electrical and civil interfaces, including trenching and conduit installation.
- Liaise with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external consultants.
- Resolve design challenges and respond to technical queries raised by contractors.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, including:
- Progress monitoring
- Performance management
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Reporting and documentation
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Review and interpret technical reports, drawings, and instructions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working on renewable energy or solar farm projects.
- Solid technical knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV), DC systems, and SCADA controls.
- Understanding of civil construction requirements, particularly trenching and conduit compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating contractors and supervising electrical packages of work.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
- Strong computer and reporting skills.
Highly Desirable (“Perfect World” Experience)
- Experience working with Ingeteam Inverters.
- Solar farm or renewable energy commissioning experience.
- Previous involvement in project design phases, with an understanding of plant design and construction integration.
