Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group

Equity Trustees is seeking two Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander participants to join its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group.

As part of our commitment to reconciliation, we are seeking First Nations voices to contribute perspectives and insights that help inform the implementation of our Innovate RAP. Participants will join a diverse group of employees and contribute to discussions on selected RAP initiatives, opportunities and challenges.

About the role

The RAP Working Group meets online four times each year. Participants will:

  • Attend four online meetings annually
  • Review brief background materials prior to each meeting
  • Share perspectives and feedback on specific RAP-related topics and initiatives
  • Contribute to informed discussion and decision-making regarding RAP implementation.

The role is designed to provide focused input into RAP implementation and is not intended to involve broader consultancy or advisory work outside the Working Group meetings.

Remuneration

Participants will receive $1,000 per meeting, inclusive of preparation time and attendance, with up to four meetings each year.

Who we're looking for

We welcome Expressions of Interest from people who:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Have an interest in reconciliation and positive outcomes for First Nations peoples and communities through the RAP program
  • Are comfortable contributing their perspectives in a respectful and constructive forum
  • Can participate in online meetings.

While not essential, we would particularly value applicants who have experience working in, with, or alongside corporate organisations and understand the structures, governance processes and dynamics of corporate environments.

How to express your interest

A full outline of the expectations of external participants is available, as well as the Terms of Reference of the Working Group, on request.

Please submit a brief Expression of Interest (approximately one page) outlining:

  • Why you are interested in participating in the RAP Working Group
  • Your background, experience and areas of interest
  • Any experience working with, or within, corporate, professional or governance environments
  • Any relevant community, professional or lived experience you would bring to the role.
