About the Role
Grape Estate Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to act as our internal engineering representative. You will coordinate with external engineering consultants, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers across Australia and China. You will oversee engineering matters throughout the entire project lifecycle.
This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to interpret and prepare engineering drawings and reports. You must communicate technical requirements clearly between internal staff and third-party engineers. We work closely with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers. Professional communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required for this position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with third-party engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Review, interpret and prepare engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments and maintenance documentation.
- Monitor engineering work throughout the design, manufacturing, construction and completion stages.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate practical solutions with relevant parties.
- Communicate engineering requirements with Australian and Chinese stakeholders in English and Mandarin.
- Assist with ensuring engineering work complies with project requirements and relevant Australian standards.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, reports, approvals and technical correspondence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
- Relevant engineering or construction project experience.
- Previous project management or project coordination experience is preferred.
- Strong ability to read and prepare engineering drawings and reports.
- Good technical coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
