Your new companyA highly regarded Victorian commercial builder and project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing team. Their diverse portfolio includes commercial construction, major refurbishments and the restoration of some of Victoria's most significant heritage assets. Your new roleReporting to the Estimating Manager, you will take ownership of the tendering process from opportunity identification through to submission and project handover. Working across a broad range of commercial building projects, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, competitive and commercially sound tenders while supporting business growth and mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates and tender submissions. Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation. Undertaking quantity take-offs and cost planning activities. Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing. Conducting project risk assessments and commercial reviews. Attending site inspections, tender interviews and client presentations. Pricing variations, claims and contractual changes.

What you'll need to succeedStrong experience delivering tenders across commercial, institutional, industrial, refurbishment, heritage or fitout projects.Advanced knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement strategies and market pricing.Exceptional quantity take-off, cost planning and value engineering capabilities.Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance risk, competitiveness and profitability.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.The ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively within tight timeframes.High attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes.
