CNC Machinists / CNC Turners / CNC Millers - Brisbane

Our client is seeking experienced CNC Machinists / CNC Turners / CNC Millers who are willing to relocate to Brisbane, Australia, for long-term employment. This opportunity is suited to skilled tradespeople with a strong background in precision machining and general engineering, particularly those with experience in the mining industry.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in small to medium-sized engineering workshops, rather than production-line operators whose experience is limited to repetitive manufacturing tasks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating and setting up CNC lathes and milling machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and machining tolerances
• Working with different materials and manufacturing custom components
• Independently setting up and completing machining jobs
• Ensuring accuracy, quality and safety throughout the machining process
• Using programming skills where required

What you’ll need:

• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on machining experience
• Recognised trade qualifications, preferably including a South African Trade Test or Red Seal certificate
• Experience in general engineering, precision machining or mining-related workshops
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience operating and setting up CNC machinery
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good workmanship, attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality and safety
• Sufficient English communication skills for an Australian workshop environment
• Programming experience will be a significant advantage
• Must be willing to relocate to Brisbane, Australia, for long-term employment
