Available Positions:

• Forklift Operator / Shed Packer- Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Purlin Mill Operator- Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 12:00 Midnight

The Role:

Due to continued growth, we're seeking reliable and motivated operators to join a busy Townsville steel manufacturing facility.

Working with steel roofing, walling products, purlins and structural steel materials, you'll play a key role in supporting production, warehousing and dispatch operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operator / Shed Packer:
  • Operating forklifts to move steel products and materials throughout the site
  • Packing steel sheds and customer orders ready for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Assisting with stock movement and inventory control
  • Performing general warehouse and yard duties as required
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

• Purlin Mill Operator:
  • Operating purlin roll-forming machinery to manufacture steel building products
  • Setting up and adjusting machinery to meet production requirements
  • Monitoring production output and ensuring product quality standards are met
  • Measuring, inspecting and checking finished products against specifications
  • Completing production paperwork and quality documentation
  • Working closely with production teams to achieve daily targets
  • Maintaining safe operating procedures and housekeeping standards

What We're Looking For:

• Current LF Forklift Licence (essential for the Forklift Operator role)
• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, production or steel environments
• Machine operating experience highly regarded for the Purlin Mill Operator role
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on duties
• Reliable, punctual and committed to ongoing employment
• Team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
