Are you a civil construction professional with strong earthworks experience and a practical understanding of heavy plant?
Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a major Gold Coast facility. This role is ideal for an experienced Supervisor or an ambitious Senior Leading Hand looking to step into a leadership position with a stable business offering genuine long-term career opportunities.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supervise daily earthworks and landfill operations
- Coordinate operators, labour crews and subcontractors
- Manage the planning and allocation of plant, personnel and resources to ensure safe, efficient and productive site operations.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with environmental and operational requirements
- Monitor site performance and operational targets
- Conduct toolbox talks, inspections and safety observations
About You
You will likely come from a civil construction, earthworks, quarrying, mining, landfill or infrastructure background and possess a strong understanding of heavy plant operations.
To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
- Strong earthworks experience
- Practical knowledge of excavators, graders, rollers, compactors, dozers and other heavy plant
- Ability to plan and coordinate earthmoving activities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and environmental compliance
- Experience leading crews in a civil or heavy industrial environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with operators, contractors and management
