About the Role
As a Travel Theatre Registered Nurse in the Hunter New England region, you will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care within a dynamic surgical environment. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective patient care throughout the perioperative journey.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care within the operating theatre environment
- Scrub, scout, and/or circulate across a range of surgical specialties as required
- Maintain patient safety and advocate for best-practice clinical outcomes
- Prepare and manage surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and perioperative records
- Adhere to infection prevention, quality, and patient safety standards

What you'll need
- Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse)
- Recent Theatre nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience in Scrub/Scout and/or Perioperative Nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary theatre environment
- Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
- Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)
