About the Role

We are looking for reliable and caring Disability Support Workers to join our team for sleepover shifts only across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

This role is suited to someone who is looking for regular overnight work and is comfortable working independently within a SIL environment.

During a sleepover shift, you will remain at the participant’s home overnight and be available to provide support if required. You will be expected to follow participant support plans, maintain a safe environment and complete any required documentation and handover.

This position is specifically for sleepover shifts and is not a general day/evening Disability Support Worker position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, person-centred support to participants during overnight sleepover shifts.
  • Remain at the SIL home for the duration of the sleepover.
  • Respond appropriately if a participant requires assistance during the night.
  • Follow participant support plans, routines and individual requirements.
  • Maintain participant privacy, dignity and choice at all times.
  • Promote a safe and comfortable environment within the home.
  • Complete required case notes, documentation and handover.
  • Follow Infinity’s policies, procedures and NDIS requirements.
  • Communicate appropriately with Team Leaders and other staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
  • Report incidents, changes in participant needs or any other concerns in accordance with organisational procedures.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

About You

We are looking for people who are:

  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Caring, respectful and patient.
  • Comfortable working independently overnight.
  • Confident following support plans and workplace procedures.
  • Able to communicate effectively with participants and other staff.
  • Committed to supporting people with disability in a person-centred way.
  • Able to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Flexible and available for regular sleepover shifts.

Previous disability support experience is preferred, however we are interested in hearing from people who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Working With Children Check, where applicable.
  • Australian driver’s licence.
  • Full comprehensive car insurance.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Availability to work sleepover shifts.
