Your new company
A well-established Hydraulics and Fluid Power services business is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join its operations in Perth. This is a customerfacing, technical sales role focused on driving revenue growth through business development, relationship management, and fitforpurpose hydraulic solutions.
Your new role
In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide technical advice, and deliver commercially sound solutions. Youll play a key role in developing new business, supporting existing accounts, and ensuring smooth delivery of sold work in collaboration with operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across surrounding regions
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across industries including construction, mining, manufacturing, transport, and agriculture
  • Conducting site visits, inspections, and technical discussions
  • Providing hydraulic and mechanical solution advice and product selection
  • Preparing accurate quotations, scopes of work, and proposals
  • Working closely with workshop and field service teams to ensure practical, deliverable outcomes
  • Managing customer expectations from enquiry through to job completion
  • Supporting sales forecasting and contributing to branch growth objectives

What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering within hydraulics, fluid power, mechanical services, or a similar industrial environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and applications
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage customer relationships
  • Solid commercial awareness, including pricing, margins, and cost drivers
  • A confident communicator able to engage both technical and decision-making audiences.
  • Trade or engineering qualifications highly regarded
