About the Role
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electronic security projects. Working closely with the National Bid Manager, sales team, project managers, engineers and clients, you will translate project requirements into detailed proposals that support successful project delivery and business growth.
This role is focused on technical estimating excellence, strong collaboration and delivering commercially sound solutions across a range of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, architectural drawings and client requirements to define scope
- Conduct site visits where required to assess project conditions and constraints
- Identify risks, challenges and opportunities across each project
- Develop accurate cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors
- Source competitive pricing from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
- Prepare detailed estimates, tenders and bid documentation
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to develop tailored, value-driven solutions
- Communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and post-bid negotiations
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams
- Continuously improve estimating processes, accuracy and efficiency
What You’ll Bring
- Security Licence (or ability to obtain) and current Driver’s Licence
- Eligibility for AGSVA Clearance
- Experience in an allied field (Security, Electrical, Data/Communications, Control systems)
- Proven experience as an Estimator in electronic security or a related industry
- Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and alarm systems
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with estimating software and tools
- Professional estimating or construction certifications
