Pub Duty Manager

 The gastro pub will feature a relaxed bar, casual dining areas, and live entertainment, closing no later than midnight. They're seeking a Duty Manager for the pub operation on a permanent basis, The role operates on a rotating roster across five shifts per week—one day shift, two mid-shifts, and two closes—with the venue extending trading hours to open Monday and Tuesday from 4pm. This is an opportunity to help establish a venue with genuine community spirit from day one.

• Manage daily operations of a gastro pub with live entertainment and a strong focus on customer experience
• Build a new venue culture from the ground up with a team that values communication and community connection

Preferred Requirements

• Proven experience as a Duty Manager or equivalent supervisory role in a hospitality venue
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate staff
• Comfortable working rotating shifts including evenings and closes, with flexibility to support opening hours
• Experience managing bar operations, customer service standards, and health and safety compliance
• Willingness to mentor and develop junior staff members

Preferred Qualifications

• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification current and valid
• Hospitality management qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Food safety or venue management certification is advantageous
