Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Are you a qualified Electrician looking for genuine long-term stability? Our client is a long-standing, family-owned Australian food processing business supplying both domestic and international markets, and they're looking for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team on a full-time basis.

THE ROLE
As part of the maintenance team, you'll keep the production facility running by maintaining and repairing electrical equipment across the plant. It's a mix of preventative maintenance and breakdown response, all aimed at keeping production safe and efficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machinery and systems
• Respond to breakdowns and help minimise production downtime
• Liaise with production staff and supervisors to resolve equipment issues
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance and fault records
• Follow electrical safety requirements and workplace procedures

ABOUT YOU

• Trade-qualified Electrician with a QLD electrical licence, or eligible to obtain one.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an electrician
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and attention to detail
• Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and respond to breakdowns
• Willing to learn PLCs, automation and industrial control systems
• Food industry experience — desirable, not essential
