The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to help lead the delivery of a master planned community in Melbourne's growth corridor.
This is a pivotal, hands on role with the opportunity to shape a community from its earliest stages, working across planning, infrastructure, commercial delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key part in bringing together thoughtful planning, quality infrastructure and a genuine sense of place, helping to create a community where people can truly thrive.
About the role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the end to end delivery of a significant residential development, including:
- Leading planning and infrastructure delivery across all stages of the project
- Managing commercial outcomes, budgets and project feasibility
- Overseeing consultants, contractors and delivery partners
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local council, government authorities and community stakeholders
- Contributing to the strategic direction and long term vision for the community
About you
You will bring proven experience in land development or master planned community development. You will also bring:
- A strong understanding of the residential development lifecycle, from planning through to civil works and settlement
- Demonstrated experience managing external consultants and stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and project risk
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on delivery
- experience managing a small internal team (at least one direct report)
