Electrical Supervisor (Brisbane)

Our client is a leader in the industry providing comprehensive maintenance and reactive services to large commercial, industrial and manufacturing food and beverage equipment across Australia. Due to growth, we are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join their team in Brisbane. 
 
The Service Supervisor is responsible for leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of technicians while being actively involved in service delivery to ensure high efficiency and productivity. Involved in direct service work while overseeing team performance, fostering a high-quality service culture, driving operational improvements and identifying commercial growth opportunities.
 
 
The role:
 

• Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance works on equipment, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently in field as required to support your team.
• Assist in installations and commissioning ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Provide mentorship, troubleshooting support, and on-the-job coaching for technicians.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in adherence to WH&S policies and customer site requirements.
• Support vehicle fleet management ensuring appropriate service intervals are met.
• Monitor and improve team performance to meet KPIs, commercial objectives, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with service, safety and compliance standards and best practices.
• Hold performance discussions with technicians, providing coaching and feedback.
• Act as a key liaison between management and technicians, ensuring smooth communication and implementation of company policies.
• Manage and coordinate the onboarding and training of new technicians to improve skill levels and service consistency.
• Work closely with the Service Manager to reduce overtime costs, improve scheduling efficiencies, and optimise service routes.

• Review technician timesheets, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies before submission.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports, job documentation, and invoicing to support business operations.

 
  What we're looking for:

• Trade Qualification or experience Supervising trades, in Electrical, Refrigeration, or Gas Fitting is preferred.
• Restricted Disconnect/Reconnect Electrical License is preferred.
• Full Electrical License desirable.
• Supervisory or Management Training is desirable.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role with experience in maintenance servicing or a related field.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Proven experience leading a team of service technicians, mentoring and guiding them to improve technical skills and efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Knowledge of maintenance and inventory management strategies and the ability to implement efficiency improvements to reduce breakdowns
• Familiar with safety and compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing service team.
