If you enjoy accounting but find yourself constantly asking “surely there’s a better way to do this?”, this could be the role for you.
We’re partnering with a growing national organisation to recruit an Accountant into its Brisbane Head Office. This is not a traditional role where you’ll spend every day buried in month-end.

What will you be doing?
Your role will be broad and varied, including:

• Analysing monthly financial and operational performance
• Supporting financial reporting and Board reporting
• Reviewing performance across a national franchise network, including sales, royalties, benchmarking and KPIs
• Supporting reconciliations and broader accounting processes
• Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes
• Working on finance system enhancements and testing

Who are we looking for?
You’ll ideally be an Accountant with 3+ years’ experience who enjoys the problem-solving side of finance.
You don’t need to come from an IT or systems background. What matters is that you’re naturally curious, comfortable digging into a problem and interested in improving the way things are done.
You’ll ideally bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• CA/CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion
• Strong commercial accounting fundamentals
• An analytical and process improvement mindset
• Confidence working with different stakeholders
• Strong Excel and accounting systems capability
