Children and Youth Pastor - Highfields Church of Christ Highfields QLD, Australia Apply Back to Results Join our supportive and encouraging church communityOpportunity to shape and grow a key ministry areaPart-time role, 3 days per week, centred on Sunday ministry & discipleship About the roleThe Next Generations Pastor will provide spiritual, pastoral and strategic leadership for the children, youth and families of Highfields Church of Christ. This is both a pastoral and pioneering role—strengthening an established Kids ministry while building a sustainable Youth ministry for the future. This part-time role (3 days per week) is centred on Sunday ministry and discipleship. You will support our existing Kids ministry while leading the development and launch of a Youth ministry. Key responsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight to Kids and Youth ministriesDisciple and build relationships with children, young people and familiesRecruit, equip and support volunteersPartner with parents in the discipleship of their childrenDevelop pathways from Kids ministry into Youth and from Youth into the wider life of the churchEnsure ministries are safe, sustainable and well organisedCommitment to following, implement and help improve our church safe guarding policiesWork collaboratively with the Lead Pastors and wider church team About youA committed and growing follower of Jesus with a heart for the next generationRelational and able to connect with children, young people and familiesA leader who equips and encourages othersAble to teach the Bible in an engaging and age-appropriate wayOrganised and able to manage a part-time workloadAble to work well within a teamAlignment with the beliefs and values of Highfields Church of ChristCurrent Queensland Blue Card, or ability to obtain one prior to commencing child-related workDemonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to Kids and/or Youth ministry, including developing volunteers or ministry teams About usHighfields Church of Christ is situated approximately 20 minutes north of Toowoomba, in the heart of the growing Highfields community.
