Your new role
Working within a high-performing project team, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of a major construction project from early works through to completion and handover.You will play a key role in coordinating technical, commercial and construction activities while ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget objectives are achieved.Responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating day-to-day construction activities Providing technical support to site and project teams Managing RFIs, design coordination and consultant engagement Reviewing and managing shop drawings and technical submissions Assisting with procurement and subcontractor appointments Monitoring construction programmes and identifying potential risks Undertaking project reporting, forecasting and progress tracking Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders Driving quality assurance and defect management processes Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and project requirements Supporting cost control and commercial management activities Contributing to project planning and construction methodology development Assisting in achieving practical completion and successful project handover

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess:A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline3+ years' experience as a Project Engineer within the building construction sectorExperience working on large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, health or education projectsStrong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery principlesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple project interfacesA proactive and solutions-focused approachStrong organisational and problem-solving capabilitiesHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
