Our client, Nandal Pty Ltd, is a leading landscaping, gardening, patio and turf supplies business operating across Perth and surrounding areas. The business provides landscaping solutions to residential and commercial clients and undertakes a range of services including earthworks, paving, artificial grass installation and the supply of landscaping and garden materials.

In addition to its landscaping services, Nandal Pty Ltd supplies a broad range of products including garden soils, mulches, firewood and artificial turf. The business places strong emphasis on quality, customer satisfaction, reliable service delivery and sustainable landscaping practices.

Nandal Pty Ltd is seeking skilled and experienced Truck Drivers to join its team and support the transportation and delivery of landscaping materials, garden supplies, equipment and related products to customers, project locations and worksites across Perth and surrounding areas.

The Truck Drivers will play an important role in supporting the company's landscaping and supply operations by ensuring that materials are transported safely, efficiently and in accordance with delivery requirements. The role involves operating trucks, loading and securing materials, delivering products to residential and commercial customers and landscaping worksites, and maintaining vehicles and delivery records.

Requirements:

-AQF Certificate II or III in Driving Operations with at least one year of relevant experience.

-At least one year of full-time experience as a truck driver in the transport, landscaping, construction, building materials, gardening supplies or related industry.

-Valid heavy vehicle driver's licence appropriate to the type of truck operated.

-Good knowledge of Perth metropolitan and surrounding road networks and the ability to use GPS and navigation systems.

-Ability to safely handle and secure landscaping materials and other loads during transportation.

Key responsibilities are set out below:

-Safely operate trucks to transport and deliver landscaping materials, garden supplies, soils, mulches, firewood, artificial turf, equipment and other products to customers and various worksites.

-Collect landscaping and garden supply products and materials from the company's premises, suppliers or other designated locations and transport them to residential, commercial and project sites.

-Load, position, secure and unload materials to ensure they remain stable and protected during transport.

-Deliver materials to the correct customer, worksite or project location in accordance with delivery instructions and scheduled requirements.

-Safely position trucks at customer properties and worksites while taking account of site access, ground conditions, overhead clearances and other hazards.

-Verify delivery quantities and relevant documentation and obtain customer or site acknowledgement of completed deliveries where required.

-Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collection details, kilometres travelled, fuel usage and other required vehicle and delivery information.

-Conduct pre-start and post-trip inspections of trucks and associated equipment and report any defects, damage or maintenance requirements.

-Ensure that loads are appropriately secured and transported in a manner that minimises damage to products, vehicles and property.

-Follow instructions relating to delivery locations, material quantities, site requirements and handling procedures.

-Assist with the safe handling of equipment, lifting devices, loading tools and other truck-mounted or delivery-related equipment.

-Maintain the cleanliness, general condition and presentation of company trucks, trailers and related equipment.

-Monitor and report vehicle servicing, repair and maintenance requirements to management.

-Take reasonable care to prevent damage to driveways, lawns, gardens, paving, structures and other customer or worksite property while carrying out deliveries.

Ideal candidate will have:

-Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operation, road safety requirements and traffic regulations.

-Experience operating trucks used for the delivery of landscaping, garden, building or similar materials.

-Ability to safely load, secure, transport and unload different types of materials and products.

-Good understanding of safe work practices, manual handling and worksite safety.

-Basic mechanical awareness and the ability to identify and report vehicle faults or maintenance issues.
