Construction Manager

Continued growth within the McNab Group has created an opportunity for an experienced and strategic Construction Manager to lead our Sydney office and commercial project delivery teams. You will oversee multiple projects, mentor and empower our Project Managers and drive exceptional outcomes from planning through to delivery, upholding McNab’s standards of safety, quality, leadership and client satisfaction.

Central to your role will be supporting the continued growth and success of our Sydney business. Drawing on your local market knowledge, you will build on our established relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors, develop new connections and help shape future project opportunities.

You will champion the McNab culture in Sydney, spending time with our Brisbane teams during your initial onboarding and through regular visits to build strong connections across the Group.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Construction or Operations Manager with a commercial D&C builder, overseeing multiple projects from planning through to completion.
• A relationship-led approach, with a proven record of delivering successful projects and contributing to business growth.
• Strong knowledge of the Sydney industrial construction market, with established relationships across clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• The ability to build on existing relationships, develop new connections and identify opportunities for repeat business and future projects.
• Practical expertise in construction methodology, programming and subcontractor procurement.
• A proven ability to mentor Project Managers, develop capability, attract strong people and build cohesive, high-performing teams.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience overseeing project budgets, managing risk and protecting project outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and navigate complex conversations.
• A thorough understanding of WHS, quality assurance and compliance requirements, supported by a visible commitment to safety and quality.
