Governance and Policy Project Officer – Contract

NFP Sector | Revesby Area | Onsite | Monday–Friday

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Governance and Policy Project Officer to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation on a fixed term contract basis.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, creating structure and driving practical improvements across an organisation.

Key Projects

Risk & Records Management

  • Review existing organisational records held across SharePoint
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies and risks
  • Establish a clear and sustainable records management process
  • Improve document structure, access, security and naming conventions
  • Develop practical procedures and support staff adoption

Policy Review & Development

  • Review the existing policy framework
  • Identify policies requiring updates, removal or redevelopment
  • Identify gaps and develop new policies where required
  • Consult with key stakeholders and manage the approval process
  • Edit, update or rewrite policies to ensure they are clear, current and fit for purpose

About You

You will be an experienced project professional with strong skills in project delivery, policy, risk, governance, compliance and process improvement.
You will be:

  • Highly organised and hands-on
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • A strong stakeholder communicator and influencer
  • Experienced in reviewing and developing policies and procedures
  • Confident working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Comfortable bringing structure to complex or unstructured projects

Experience within thenot-for-profit, community, governance, compliance, HR or safeguarding sectors will be highly regarded.

The Opportunity

  • Contract position within a purpose-driven NFP organisation
  • Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30am–4:30pm
  • Onsite parking available
  • Opportunity to make a tangible impact through meaningful organisational projects

This is a great opportunity for a Project Officer who enjoys variety and is able to adapt to changing priorities, with the scope to work across a range of projects beyond the initial priorities outlined above.
