Are you a fitter who loves tracking down the fault, fixing it properly and making the machine run better than before? A well-established manufacturer on the Sunshine Coast needs a reliable Maintenance Fitter to look after the equipment at its purpose-built processing facility.
The Role
You’ll keep the plant safe, reliable and efficient, working with production and the maintenance team to keep downtime to a minimum.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairing machinery
- Servicing equipment and completing scheduled maintenance
- Logging work through the maintenance scheduling program
- Managing tools and maintenance consumables
- Planning maintenance projects and improving equipment performance
About You
You’re dependable, safety-minded and take pride in getting it right. Here’s what you’ll need in your toolbox:
- Fitter, fitter and turner, or fitter/machinist qualifications
- Industrial, production or facilities maintenance experience
- Sharp fault-finding skills and the ability to work with limited supervision
- An understanding of hygiene standards in a production environment
- A current driver’s licence and Australian working rights
- Regulated production experience and a forklift licence
