Your new companyOur client is a long-established accounting and advisory firm that provides taxation, bookkeeping, audit, and business consulting services to individuals and businesses across Central Queensland. They work closely with clients to deliver practical financial solutions, support business growth, and help achieve both personal and commercial goals.
Your new role

• Manage a portfolio of individual, business, trust, and company clients across a range of accounting and taxation matters
• Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, BAS, and other compliance requirements
• Undertake tax planning, research, and assist with business restructuring matters
• Liaise directly with clients, the ATO, and key stakeholders to provide professional advice and support
• Mentor and review the work of junior accountants while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Continue developing your technical knowledge across taxation, accounting, and advisory services

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion
• 5+ years' experience within public practice accounting
• Strong knowledge of taxation legislation, accounting standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Handisoft, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
