We are partnering with a well-established local government organisation seeking a Property Officer to support the management and maintenance of a diverse property portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional looking to develop their experience across property administration, asset management, contract management, and stakeholder engagement within a community-focused environment

Your new role
As a Property Officer, you will provide administrative and operational support across a broad property portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors, you will assist with property management activities, coordinate maintenance and cleaning contracts, undertake property inspections, and contribute to strategic asset planning initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating property maintenance and building services programmes
Managing contractor relationships and monitoring contract performance
Conducting routine property inspections and preparing reports
Assisting with property asset management plans and strategic reviews
Supporting land administration and property-related matters
Maintaining property records, systems, access control and security platforms
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding property services and asset requirements

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in property, facilities, asset management, or a related field
Strong administration, organisational and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes, or service agreements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and work autonomously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems
Current NSW Driver's Licence

DesirablesExperience working within local government or a public sector environmentQualifications in property, building, facilities or asset management
Exposure to asset management, land administration or capital works programme
