Your new company
A leading civil contractor has secured a major infrastructure project and is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead site operations during a critical phase of delivery.This is an opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale brownfield project involving bulk earthworks, civil groundworks, utilities, roads, pavements, drainage, foundations and major concrete structures. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving construction outcomes, leading site teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations.
Your new role
As Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all site-based construction activities, ensuring resources are effectively coordinated across multiple work fronts while maintaining productivity, quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading supervisors, crews and subcontractors across the project
- Driving programme and production targets
- Coordinating labour, plant, equipment and materials
- Monitoring project progress and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Managing safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Facilitating daily planning meetings and construction reviews
- Working closely with engineering and project management teams
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring construction activities are delivered efficiently and safely
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in a Civil Superintendent or Senior Supervisor position
- Strong background delivering civil infrastructure projects
- Experience managing bulk earthworks, roads, pavements, utilities, drainage and concrete works
- The ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to safety and operational excellence
- A proven track record of delivering projects on time and achieving productivity targets
