Interior Designer | Residential Architecture & Construction
Are you an Interior Designer who loves creating beautiful, functional spaces and seeing your designs come to life?
We're partnering with a well-established, design-led residential architecture and construction business seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Working closely with architects, estimators and construction professionals, you'll play a key role in shaping high-end residential projects from concept through to completion.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing interior design concepts, mood boards and material palettes
- Presenting design ideas and selections to clients
- Preparing detailed design documentation, specifications and schedules
- Selecting finishes, fixtures, fittings and furnishings that align with project briefs and budgets
- Collaborating closely with architects and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Coordinating suppliers and managing design timelines
- Conducting site visits to monitor design implementation and quality outcomes
- Managing client relationships throughout the design journey
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and records
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications in Interior Design
- Previous experience in residential interior design, ideally within an architecture, design-build or custom home environment
- Strong understanding of spatial planning, materials, lighting and interior detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar design software
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional design outcomes
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working across design and construction disciplines
- Experience with 3D visualisation and rendering software will be highly regarded
