About the Role
An exciting permanent opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine to join a collaborative Department of Medicine in Mackay.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include medical assessment and management, treatment and discharge planning, education, patient safety, clinical audit and service development.
Clinical areas include:
- Stroke and acquired brain injury
- Neurological conditions
- Spinal and musculoskeletal conditions
- Amputations
- Orthopaedic and trauma rehabilitation
- Deconditioning and functional decline
- Complex medical rehabilitation
- Disability and chronic disease-related impairment
- Falls and frailty
