Senior Project Engineer - Tier 1 Contractor

- Manage project planning, scheduling, and budgeting while ensuring compliance with specifications.
Highly respected and busy Tier 1 builder are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the business working on a new $500M Mixed Retail, Commercial and Residential Project in North West Sydney.
My client is known as the go too builder for major projects in Sydney delivering projects up to $1B across Commercial high rise, Data Centres, education and Health projects.
This role would suit an experienced Senior project engineer or Project engineer looking to step up with previous experience on high rise structures
Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for timely, cost-effective delivery
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and regulations
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (schedules, contracts, change orders)
- Managing commissioning and project completion activities
- Monitor progress and update managers on milestones and issues
- Coordinate with team members to complete tasks on time and within budget
- Track expenses and provide regular updates to managers
- Supervising a cadet and overseeing the QA and defects process
- Identify and resolve issues, escalating to managers as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on projects over $100 mil
- Proven experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 Builder
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in project engineering within the construction industry
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
- Reliable references
- Must already be in Australia to be considered for this role
- Experience working on commercial type projects within Australia
Salary up to $240k Package for the right person.
