Plant Operator
- Operate various types of plant equipment on landfill sites.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintenance of machinery.
- Assist customers and support site manager with daily operations.
We are hiring for multi-skilled Plant Operators to join our team.

Our Plant Operators play an essential role in getting us there, by working with our team to help provide valuable waste management solutions to our clients and customers. Because of this, as an Operator, you will be a fundamental part of the business and focused on waste solutions.
What you'll be doing
Operating different types of plant on the landfill to compact waste.
Covering the tip face with cover at the end of the day.
Safely and competently operate all plant and equipment;
Ensuring pre-starts are completed daily when using a machine.
Operating the water cart for dust suppression.
Screening materials on site.
Grading the roads to ensure they are suitable to drive on.
Stockpiling incoming volumes of dirt.
Ensure pre-starts are completed and signed off before commencement of daily operations.
Time sheets to completed daily.
Take five observations to be completed each shift.
Report all incidents and hazards immediately.
Report all maintenance needed for Forklift(s) and other plant on site to site manager;
Ensure the Yard is clean and tidy daily.
Supporting customers with basic enquiries
Assist in other duties as directed by the site manager.
Who you are
It’s a must that you’re a qualified multi-disciplined Plant Operator, with a good safety record, Dozer & Compactor tickets as a minimum (Loader & Scraper tickets very desirable)
Experience as a Plant Operator is desirable
Strong understanding of Safety and Compliance in Transport and operations environments
Customer orientated – you care about our customers and bringing a positive attitude to all your interactions
Pride in appearance of the company equipment and personal image
You’re a team player, willing to pitch in, be reliable, support and help when required
