Our client is a well-established civil construction contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and earthworks projects across North Queensland. With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and project delivery, they are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to lead site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Your new role
As the Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements, and safety standards. You will play a key role in maintaining productivity, managing resources, and fostering a positive site culture.
This position is based in Townsville and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil construction projects including roads, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, drainage, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations across civil construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage internal crews, subcontractors, plant, and suppliers.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address site issues.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure works meet project specifications.
• Assist with resource planning, programming, and labour allocation.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor, Leading Hand, or Foreman within civil construction.
• Strong background in road construction, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, drainage, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate site teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Current Driving Licence.
• Construction White Card (essential).
